Buying something helps most. This helps next, and it pays for something a sale cannot.
Every piece in the shop was made by somebody who could not make it a year ago. The sale of that piece pays the maker. What it does not pay for is the year — the yarn wasted while a beginner learns the loom, the gas and the ingredients of a batch that came out wrong, the hours a teacher spends on one pair of hands.
That is what a donation is for here. Not the shortfall on a budget, and not a building fund. The part of the work that happens before anything is good enough to sell.
You are welcome to say what you would like yours to go to — a loom, a term of somebody's training, materials for one workshop — and we will tell you when it has.
